Winning with 9 Dimensions of Wellness
Welcome, or welcome back! It has been a minute since I’ve been blogging, and I am jazzed to be back sharing information and resources for you here. (There is also a library of over 80 articles here about health, wellness, and fitness, so have a scroll back!)
The “why” behind my business in case you’re new here: simply, I want people to win. That is, win whatever it is they are after in life. But too often and especially in the life coaching space, I see “winning” comes at a cost. That cost? People sacrifice their health and wellness to get to their goals.
So, our focus here is to “win” WITH wellness. Hustle for what you’re after WITH your health, using a “both-and mindset”, instead of “either-or”. It is my job to help you solidify your wellness foundation AND help you level up in life.
A little more about those 9 Dimensions of Wellness that I have been using with clients (and myself!) these last years:
9 dimensions of wellness encompass various aspects of an individual's overall well-being and include,
-Emotional wellness focuses on understanding and managing one's emotions effectively, fostering resilience, and developing healthy coping mechanisms.
-Physical wellness emphasizes maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle, including regular exercise, healthy eating habits, and sufficient rest.
-Financial wellness involves having a stable and secure financial situation, achieving financial goals, and making informed decisions.
-Relationship wellness involves nurturing and maintaining healthy relationships with loved ones, including family, friends, and partners, and fostering mutual understanding and communication.
-Caregiver wellness considers how those who care for others need unique support on their caregiving journey
-Social wellness centers around building and maintaining meaningful connections with others, cultivating a sense of belonging, and engaging in positive social interactions.
-Intellectual wellness encourages continuous learning, critical thinking, creativity, and expanding one's knowledge base.
-Professional wellness encompasses striving for personal and professional growth, maintaining work-life balance, and finding fulfillment in one's career.
-Spiritual wellness involves exploring personal beliefs and values, engaging in activities that provide meaning and purpose, and connecting with a higher power or inner self.
