Looking for Growth & Success? 5 Tips from a Life Coach, Mom, Entrepreneur & Fitness Pro
The way I see it, we’ve got one go-round at this thing called life, and it is too damn short to be stuck in a place where we don’t want to be.
I know change can be scary and difficult, but honestly, if you’re doing something that doesn’t light you up and share your gifts with others, THAT is so much more “scary & difficult”, don’t you think?
If you’re looking for growth and success (in whatever way YOU define success), here are 5 “must-dos” I have come to realize from many years of learning the art AND science of coaching, fitness, business, and toughest of all, parenting:
1) Cultivate self-awareness. To grow and move forward, we’ve got to acknowledge we’ve got weaknesses to change. And we must also get to a point that we’re tired of our own BS. Come on, admit it. You know you’re guilty of making excuses to avoid doing something you know you need to, right? We all do it. BUT, it is when we finally get tired of our own excuses and start holding ourselves accountable for the things we said we were going to do, that we REALLY start to see progress.
2) Your wellness must be top of mind. If you’re looking for growth and success, but you’re “when-thening” your wellness, it just ain’t going to happen, or at least not as quickly or effectively. What does “when-thening” mean? It sounds like this, “when I finish this project, then I will start working out.” Or, “When my kids are a little more independent, then I will make time for myself”. You’re putting off your health, and that project you’re working on, it will suffer because you haven’t been able to give it your best. Your kids? They’re getting the “cranky-mom” version of you because you haven’t given yourself a moment to recharge. Easier said than done, I know. I had 2 under 2 as well. Turn on a screen for the kiddos for 10 mins and finish your hot cup of coffee. You need and deserve a moment.
3) Are you a lifelong learner? When was the last time you implemented something you learned? Can I tell you that you likely don’t need another workshop or course to figure something out? You’re already smart enough to work through your current challenge. You need to implement your learnings.
4) Guard your time and energy. Seriously. Guard these the way a mama bear guards her babies. Stop letting people have access to you who aren’t cheering for you, and cheering for you in whatever you are after.
5) And yes, this will sound “sales-y”….get a coach. Why? Because it works. I have worked with a coach for years now. I would not have navigated life and business as well these last difficult years were it not for coaching. Do you want more success and growth? Coaching is a difference-maker.
In closing, and what isn’t “sales-y”, I want you to win, whatever it is you’re after. I would be happy to chat to answer your questions about coaching and help you get started. You can always book a free call here: https://www.deannalangfordcoaching.com/booking
